It must be that Alec has some sort of agenda against all broom-kind. Because a few days after the incident with Cody McCoy there's a startled yell and sound of a broom cracking comes from outside.

It's followed by a loud and panicked "Getaway! GEtaway! Getaway... well fuck!"
