The City was the City. It wasn't Rapture. There was a sky and sun. Which was better than Rapture.

The curses were a pain but... It wasn't Rapture.

On this particular day Alec walked into a bar with his limp looking for somewhere to sit and maybe someone to talk to. It was crowded and busy but he spotted an empty seat at the bar. Hobbling over to it he slid into the seat and gave the man next to him a short nod of greeting.

"I have to say it's nice to meet someone who's close to my own timeline."

"Closer than a lotta people, yeah. I'm mostly used to people bein' from the future."

"You were in the Great War. You're old enough to be my father." He blinks as he says that and then laughs.

[trenchknives]

He laughs.

"Great, you really gotta make me feel old?"

[element_wizard]

"Nah. You're not old. I'm older than you," Alec says. "And now my head hurts."

[trenchknives]

He shakes his head.

"Yeah, try not to think too much about that one. It's too odd."

[element_wizard]

"That's a good idea. That's a very good idea," Alec says and finishes off his drink.
