There are probably worse things to get phone calls about.
However ones from the police station which involve words such as "child" and "car accident" are pretty bad. Especially when the child involved your fifteen year old ward.
Which is exactly the sort of phone call Andrew got on Saturday evening.

As he gathers his briefcase in one hand and his sandwich in the other -- he'll finish it on the way to bed -- he pauses for a moment, then turns to Alec, clears his throat, then finally speaks.
"I'm glad you're not injured."
And promptly exits the room before Alec can say anything about it.
