"Oh, I... could eat, but I'm not starving..." As he crosses the threshold, his mind is open, welcoming and receptive to the touch of the home's spirit. Also he's momentarily lost in wonder at the differing proportions of the house. There must be some kind of magic at work, here, and he's both fascinated and delighted. The prevalence of weapons laying around means his own sword is less likely to be taken as hostile, which is good because he carries it as a matter of practical self-defense. All his kind do, if they have any sense.

"This place is wonderful- and so big! Do ye have a large family, living here?" His current home is a little two-room flat, just big enough for himself and a windowbox of plants. He's content with that, but that doesn't mean he can't admire this place.
